This means more for your team to manage, from extra steps and workarounds to slower support and compromises you can’t afford.
When software is designed to serve every industry, the specific needs of boat operators take a back seat.
When the platform doesn’t match how your team works, spreadsheets, manual steps, double-checks, and extra processes fill the gaps.
Generic support teams serve every type of business, so getting help often starts with explaining how your operation works.
Large platforms often lock operators into standard rates and fee structures, even when they don’t make sense for how your business operates.
We build and shape the software, support, and pricing around the needs of boat operators. We’re not a one-size-fits-all model.
Boat tours and charters are the only industry we serve, so everything we build and improve is shaped around the needs of boat operators.
Nalu helps your team work more efficiently with fewer manual steps, fewer opportunities for mistakes, and more time to focus on your business.
You get help from real people who know you, and your operation.
We take a flexible approach to pricing, so your rates work for your operation instead of forcing you into a standard structure.
When an operator trusts Nalu with a critical part of their business, we believe they deserve more than just booking software. They deserve a platform that is reliable and simple to use, backed by a team that knows their operation and is there when they need us. That’s why we stay close to the businesses we serve, listen to their needs, and continue improving Nalu alongside them. We don’t want to just provide software. We want to be a team our operators can rely on for the long term.

Steve has spent more than 20 years designing software and digital products, with a focus on making complex systems feel intuitive and easy to use. Throughout his career, he has worked across everything from startups to large enterprise platforms, bringing a user-first approach to solving problems. At Nalu, he applies that experience to building a platform around the real needs of boat operators and their teams. When he’s not working, Steve enjoys surfing, kiteboarding, and spending time with his wife and three kids on Kauai.
Holly Barton has 15+ years of leadership experience spanning athletics, operations, and community engagement. She's led ambassador programs at lululemon and Vuori, driven retail operations across 500+ lululemon stores, and now serves as Product Operations and Quality Assurance Lead for Nalu Bookings, stress-testing the booking experience end to end and keeping operators and customers aligned. Outside of work, she spends fall weekends glued to football, and is happiest at the gym or outdoors with her 6-year-old daughter.
Moving booking systems can feel risky when trips are running every day. That’s why migration isn’t something we hand you a guide for, it’s something we do together, step by step, without disrupting your operation.
Before anything moves, we sit down with your team to understand your trips, pricing, policies, and day-to-day workflow, so Nalu is set up around your business from day one.
We work with you to ensure your bookings, guest records, and schedules are transferred over so nothing gets lost along the way.
Once you’re live on Nalu, our team stays close to help with questions, make adjustments, and ensure everything continues running smoothly.
Pick a time that works for you and we’ll walk you through Nalu, answer your questions, and show you how it can support your operation.
